American College of Cardiology Symposium Highlights
Research on TM and Cardiovascular Disease

A symposium highlighting research on the effects of the Transcendental Meditation technique on cardiovascular disease, entitled “Integrative Cardiology,” was held during the annual meeting of the American College of Cardiology, which was attended by 30,000 cardiologists in Atlanta from March 11 to 14, 2006. Speakers at the TM symposium included:

Robert Schneider, M.D., F.A.C.C., Director of the NIH-Funded Institute of Natural Medicine and Prevention at Maharishi University of Management

Brian Olshansky, M.D., Professor of Cardiology at the University of Iowa and co-chair of the symposium

Noel Bery Merz, M.D., Director of Preventive and Rehabilitative Cardiology at Cedar Sinai in Los Angeles

O.T. Randal, M.D., Professor of Cardiology at Howard University in Washington
