In an evening described by Rolling Stone as “otherworldly” and “beautiful,” artists supporting the work of the David Lynch Foundation took the stage at the Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles on April 1 to perform their own unique renditions of filmmaker David Lynch’s immersive, ambient sounds found in his films, Twin Peaks and original catalog. The evening, entitled “The Music of David Lynch,” launched the DLF’s tenth anniversary celebrations, and helped to raise funds to teach Transcendental Meditation (TM) to 1,000 at-risk youth in Los Angeles.

  1. It was an amazing night! One thing though, I’ve been trying for the life of me to recall what the short film/music video with the girl in the forest was called, can anybody tell me? Thanks!

  2. It was a fabulous show! Yes, I was mainly there to see my favorite band (Duran Duran) but I was so very impressed with what the DLF serves to do by bringing Transcedental Meditation to those suffering toxic stress, that I donated directly to the fund and put a donation link into my blog post about the night: http://www.thevalentinerd.com/a-duran-duran-fangirl-dream-come-true/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+TheValentineRD+(The+Valentine+RD)

A message from David Lynch

I started Transcendental Meditation in 1973 and have not missed a single meditation ever since. Twice a day, every day. It has given me effortless access to unlimited reserves of energy, creativity and happiness deep within.
