Have you been enlightened?

I’m not enlightened, I have to tell you. But on the way to enlightenment, the good news is: every day gets better. When you experience this consciousness, this ocean of consciousness has qualities. And those qualities are bliss. They call it sometimes “bliss consciousness.” And you can dive in and get wet with this bliss consciousness. And it expands. Inner happiness grows. It’s so beautiful. It’s a field of pure intelligence, pure creativity, pure love, harmony, coherence, energy. And you unfold this. And it’s like ramping up a light of consciousness.

Then the side effect of it is: negativity starts to recede. And it’s a very real phenomenon when this blanket—it’s like coming from Philadelphia to Los Angeles. The light of consciousness is even more beautiful than the light in Los Angeles. It’s so beautiful. And it builds and builds. So every day gets better and better, and enjoyment of doing increases. 

So many things that are important for filmmakers increase. This thing of intuition—a real guide to making things—it’s an ocean of solutions, an ocean of knowingness. And intuition grows, and you have a way of solving those problems—knowing and knowing, knowing, and knowing when it’s not quite right, and knowing a way to make it feel correct for you. And it grows. And the things that used to crush you—you know this business. This business is filled with pressure and stress. And those things: life becomes more and more of a game—so much fun to play. And the things that used to kill you, they don’t kill you so much. Little by little by little. It’s money in the bank for the filmmaker.
